RSI (Relative Strength Index)
A 0–100 oscillator measuring how one-sided recent price changes have been. Above 70 is often called overbought, below 30 oversold.
RSI compares the size of recent up moves to the size of recent down moves over a lookback window, usually 14 days, and expresses the result on a 0–100 scale.
The common readings — above 70 overbought, below 30 oversold — describe crowding, not a verdict. A strong trend can hold an RSI above 70 for weeks, and a broken name can sit below 30 the whole way down.
On Autonium's stock pages RSI feeds the technical trend factor rather than standing alone, because a stretched oscillator only matters in the context of the trend it is stretched against.
On Autonium pages this feeds the Technical trend factor.
