    Six components, one composite

    Trend25%

Direction and strength of the prevailing price trend across the selected timeframe. Higher = clearer, more durable trend.

    Momentum20%

Rate of price acceleration. Detects when moves are gaining or losing steam relative to their own history.

    Relative Strength15%

Performance versus the benchmark (SPY for equities). Isolates true leaders from names moving with the tape.

    Volatility15%

Realized and implied volatility. Flags when risk is expanding or contracting — the score adjusts for regime.

    Volume10%

Confirms whether price moves have conviction behind them or are running on thin liquidity.

    Risk Penalty15%

Drawdown severity, concentration exposure, and macro headwind adjustments — knocks the score down when risk is elevated.

Weights shift within a small band based on the selected time horizon (short / medium / long) and asset class. Crypto uses adjusted volatility and volume normalization.

    Limits & honesty

    • The score is a conviction gauge, not a price prediction.
    • Signals can lag around unpredictable single-day events (earnings, macro shocks, headline risk).
    • Universe is currently US large-cap equities and a curated crypto set. New tickers may return "no score yet."
    • All data is delayed by the applicable market data license (typically ~15 minutes for equities).
